Accelerating Women’s Enterprise (AWE), is a collaborative project helping women on either side of the Channel to increase their knowledge and personal skills to start and grow a successful business.
AWE offers training workshops, face-to-face advice, mentoring and online learning, all developed specifically for women.
Organised by Outset CIC, attendance at all three business start-up workshops is recommended for maximum benefit.
Wednesday 4 March: Introduction to Business Planning
This informative workshop looks at the importance of implementing a business plan for your enterprise. As a potential entrepreneur this session will look at how you can formulate a strategy for your business and looks in depth at all the different factors you will need to consider.
The workshop will cover the key points when writing a business plan to establish feasibility. We will look at mission statements, personal profiles, marketing strategy and finance/funding options.
Thursday 5 March: Introduction to Business Marketing
This engaging workshop introduces the importance of a businesses’ marketing strategy and explores the various facets that new enterprises need to consider when launching or growing their business.
We will look at customers and competitors, identifying your target market, your business brand, marketing investment - the value of marketing, exploring different marketing mediums, and what strategy is right for you.
Thursday 19 March: Introduction to Business Finance and Funding
This event considers the relationship we have with our money.
- Have you started your business but unsure if you have a strong financial foundation?
- Need information on funding options for your business?
- Don’t know where to start with costing your products or service?
- Need to create a cash flow?
This workshop will start from scratch to give you the basics necessary to build a business or grow your existing enterprise. It will also help you to understand whether your start-up idea is financially feasible or viable.
