Students taking a campus tour with student ambassadors

Register for a Wednesday afternoon applicant campus visit

What to expect from your visit

Your visit will start with a 1.5 hour tour of the main campus, showing you the buildings where you will be studying along with a walk through our Student Accommodation Village and a chance to look inside our show flats.
If you have an offer to study with us, these visits will give you the chance to take your next steps towards starting your course in September.
As part of your visit, you can expect:
  • a walking tour of the campus, including our Student Accommodation Village
  • a meeting with an academic or current student from your programme* (optional)
  • a walking tour of the city of Plymouth (optional)
  • a coffee and cake for you and your guests, on us!
Please note: the academic meetings and city tour are optional extras; you do not need to take part in these if you do not want to.

*While we do our best to accommodate academic meetings, due to academic’s teaching schedules and work commitments, it may not always be possible. If we are unable to schedule a meeting on the day of your visit, we will put you in contact via email or Zoom so you will still be able to get the answers to all of your questions.
*Unfortunately, our Medicine and Dentistry academics are not able to meet with applicants on these tours, but we will endeavour to have a Student Ambassador from one of these subjects accompany these tours where available.

When are applicant campus visits and how do I book?

We will be running these visits, starting at 12:00, on the following dates:

How long is the visit?

Just to give you an idea of timings, our academic meetings normally lasts between 30 minutes – 1 hour, and the city tour lasts 1 hour.
Of course, you are also free to explore the city for as long as you like after your visit, there is plenty to see and do in Plymouth!

Need an answer to a question?

If you have any questions about a particular course or university in general, or have something specific you are looking to gain from your visit, please contact campustours@plymouth.ac.uk – we’ll seek the answers to your questions and get back to you as quickly as we can.

Make the most of your visit

Plymouth is a vibrant city that offers the best of both worlds – combining cosmopolitan energy with a serene seaside ambience.
The University’s central campus is located within a few minutes’ walk of the town centre, ten minutes’ walk of the historical Barbican and is only a short drive to Dartmoor.
Our suggested locations to visit

Thank you for having me, I really enjoyed the visit and was really impressed with all of your facilities and the city itself. Also, a huge shout out to the student who showed us around, she was brilliant and able to answer every question that was asked.
