Summer competition: Out of This World
University of Plymouth’s ‘Out of This World’ competition is giving primary school students the chance to attend the British Astronaut Tim Peake's latest show, ‘Tim Peake: My Journey to Space’ on Monday 19 September 2022 at Plymouth Pavilions. Each competition winner can bring two guests.
There are four prizes to be won – for your chance to win, please choose one category to enter below (only one entry per person). You will also get one stamp in your Children’s University passport to learning for participating.

Category A

Do you know what an exoplanet is? Imagine your own exoplanet and design a leaflet to sell a holiday to your planet. Draw your exoplanet and persuade your audience why they should travel there. Get creative!

Category B

Ever wondered what it would be like to visit the International Space Station? Your mission is to design your own space station, describe what special features you have included on board and where it is in the solar system.

What we are looking for

We want your entry to be the best it can be, so here are some tips to think about before you get started:

  • Use your imagination and be creative with your idea.
  • Tell us in your own words why your space station or exoplanet is fantastic and why we should choose you as a prize winner.
  • Make sure you follow our guidelines below on size.
  • Submit only one entry per person.

Don’t:
  • Write more than 100 words for your answer.
  • Make your entry any larger than A3 in size.
  • Submit work other than your own.
  • Enter multiple times for the competition.
  • Use language in your entry that is not appropriate for a primary or secondary level of education.
