Key features
This 20 credit module is offered at diploma and degree level and is designed to equip health and care staff, who have a role in supporting people who are facing or experiencing loss, grief and bereavement, with additional skills and knowledge.
At both degree and diploma level you will utilise higher levels of enquiry including critical appraisal, synthesis and reflection in a safe and supported environment. Please note at diploma level this module is called HEAB251 ‘Supporting People in Loss, Grief and Bereavement’
The module is normally delivered by means of six study days spaced over 15 weeks by means of lectures, seminars, experiential workshops and relevant placement visits.
This module can be studied as a standalone module at both levels or as an optional module towards some of our BSc (Hons) Professional Development pathways at degree level - please contact the Professional Development Unit for further information.
