Key features
This 20 credit masters-level module will teach you to understand, critique and apply the relevant knowledge, skills and values needed to facilitate adult learners in professional practice settings. You will learn to provide and manage a safe, stimulating learning environment which maximises their learning and development and ensures the needs of members of the public are paramount.
Through discussion, group activities, reading and seminar presentations you will:
- develop the ability to transfer professional practice knowledge, skills and values into creative work with a wide range of learners in practice
- develop the ability to critically apply theories of organisational structures, management, adult learning and teaching and achieving this within diverse contexts
- learn to develop confident, reflective and proficient practice educators capable of maintaining professional values in complex situations and within organisational constraints.
