Developing professional competence for non-graduate health care professionals (‘bridging module’) (degree level)

Key features

This module has been developed especially for experienced practitioners who have not previously studied at degree level, or who have not studied for some time, to enable you to demonstrate your ability to produce reflective and analytical work at degree level as a prerequisite for masters level study.

You will develop your application of knowledge and theoretical understanding of your area of practice by using your literature searching skills and drawing from a range of current research, policy, legislation and theoretical frameworks.

You will learn to critically analyse the effectiveness of your practice through the use of reflection and demonstrate this within your academic writing as well as building on your ability to apply professional values to complex situations within organisational constraints.

This module can be taken as a standalone professional development short course or as a ‘bridging’ module in preparation for the MSc Pre-Hospital Critical Care/Retrieval and Transfer programme.
