This 10 credit degree-level module will enable you to attain the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment level of the Professional Capabilities Framework.
You will have the opportunity to demonstrate a wide range of roles and tasks in your practice and become more effective in your interventions, which will, in turn, allow you to build on your confidence and earn the confidence of others.
Through guided workshops, a range of practice activities and the creation of a portfolio of work with your employer, you will learn how to develop the application of knowledge and understanding to your area of social work practice and how to critically analyse the effectiveness of your practice through the use of reflection tools and supervision.
You will also increase your skill and knowledge base to be consistent with confident, critically reflective and effective social work while developing the ability to apply professional values to complex situations within organisational restraints.
This module can be taken as a standalone CPD short course or as preparation for studying a number of MSc Advanced Professional Practice social work pathways.
