Student life

We are explorers

An explorer is someone who investigates unknown regions and territories. Alongside its diverse geographic location, the University of Plymouth’s degrees give us the perfect platform to immerse ourselves in our subjects, providing us with unforgettable experiences that capture our curious imaginations along the way.

What we study

The course you choose will have a big impact on your life as a student. It is important that you find a course that fuels your passion to learn and sets you up with invaluable skills for work.

Devoting yourself to a single degree out of thousands is very different to selecting four A level subjects from a limited list of options.

Course webpages provide the best way to absorb yourself in what a course can specifically offer you – modules, facilities, fieldwork and study trips, etc.

The most authentic way to learn more about degrees is by attending an open day where you can see facilities first hand, experience engaging subject talks and interact with students and teaching staff who can answer any questions you have.
