National Productivity Investment Fund

Centre for Doctoral Training – a partnership between UWE Bristol, Plymouth and
Falmouth – has been awarded 12 fully-funded PhD studentships from the National
Productivity Investment Fund to begin on 1 October 2017. The studentships cover
Home/EU fees plus an annual maintenance award of £14,553*. The studentship will
only fully fund those applicants who are eligible for Home/EU fees with
relevant qualifications. The award is for 3.5 years full-time but it is
possible to study part-time.
is a collaboration between one of the three universities’ research centres and
an industrial partner that guarantees training and access to facilities, a
variety of internships/placements and in some instances co-supervision. All
students will be part of an interdisciplinary Design Futures Lab.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to become part of an innovative
and cutting-edge cohort of researchers dedicated to reshaping industrial
technologies and processes through embedded practice-based research.
