We are breaking down the barriers to e-resources

As a result of your feedback, the Library worked hard over the summer and autumn of 2014 to simplify and improve access to the electronic resources that support your teaching and learning at Plymouth University (ebooks, ejournals, databases and other full-text online resources).

We've removed barriers to online access, to ensure that materials are equally available, regardless of the device you're using or your physical location. You'll now notice that getting into electronic resources works the same both on and off-campus, and that as long as you attempt access through the University’s DLE, Library Reading Lists or Primo and use the links provided for resources, there are very few problems. You are now likely to need only your Plymouth University login details, and you'll be prompted for these just once during each browser session.

Setting up a VPN for off-campus access is no longer needed, and “Athens” will soon be a thing of the past. The Library is contacting publishers all the time to ask them to make the switch, so access to all sorts of resources will continue to improve further throughout this term.
