The Student Hub brings together all of the institution’s central student support services under one roof. Located in the Charles Seale-Hayne Library, it represents a £500,000 investment by the University to make it even easier for students to access all of the help and support they might need.
The University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Judith Petts CBE; its Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Student Experience, Professor Julian Chaudhuri; and UPSU President Matilda Fraser attended the official opening, welcoming students, staff and members of the Students’ Union.
We want to provide the best support possible for our students on their academic journey with us. By bringing together the myriad of services we offer, it is easier and simpler for them to access everything they need, enabling them to devote their energies to study and student life. And the Student Hub is just one part of our wider strategic plan to transform our campus over the next decade.
Professor Judith Petts CBE
The Student Hub is a one-stop shop for advice and support on aspects of university life such as funding and budgeting, mental health, disability and dyslexia support, international student and immigration advice, academic help, and faith and spirituality. For the first time, it also brings on board the wealth of careers and employability support offered by the University’s dedicated team.
It’s a friendly and vibrant space, located in the heart of the campus, and we hope it will make a very positive contribution to the student experience.
