12.00 – 12.15 – Introduction to Student Wellbeing Services - Lecture Theatre 1, Sherwell Building (lower lecture theatre)

Student Services will outline the support available to all students and where you need to go to access this support. The session will include information about:

  • Disability Services
  • Student Wellbeing Services (Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing)
  • Chaplaincy
  • Learning Development incl SUM UP
  • Care Leavers
  • Peer Assisted Learning (PALS)

12.15 – 12.30 Careers and Employability - Lecture Theatre 1, Sherwell Building (lower lecture theatre)

The most often quoted reason for coming to university is to enhance your future prospects and to create fulfilling career paths. Find out about how the Careers and Employability service can support you with this by; opening your eyes to a wealth of graduate options, helping you to develop skills and gain experience and providing you with all the practical help you need, from stage 0 right the way through to postgraduate study (and for up to 3 years after you finish your programme!)

Any time between 09.00 – 16.00 University Card Collection - Room 015, Ground Floor, Smeaton Building

You can collect your University card from Room 015, Ground Floor, Smeaton Building during the times given above. Your card is used for entry to the Library, some room entry, handing in coursework etc.

You must complete online enrolment and upload a photo prior to attending this session. You will need to bring identification with you to this session. The preferred form of identification is a valid current passport. Please refer to our University Card Collection web page for further details.
NB: If you already have a card i.e. because you were previously a student on another course or at a Partner College, you do not need to attend this session.

19.00 – 21.45 Monday Welcome Party - Graduation Marquee, Plymouth Hoe

The Welcome Party is your opportunity to meet informally with other students new to The Faculty of Science and Engineering as well as some current students and your academic staff.

Additionally, the evening includes a welcome drink, entertainment and the chance to win a £100 Amazon voucher.
