Biography
Biography
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Plymouth, in the Ecophysiology and Development Research Group. I work on crustacean physiology, trying to better understand the stress associated with fisheries and transportation, and using this information to provide market and welfare guidelines.
Qualifications
2019 PhD, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina: Physiological limits of Lithodes santolla to aerial exposure. Guidelines for live transportation.

Research interests
My research focuses on physiological stress induced by fisheries and commercial practices. This work is focused on optimizing conditions both for obtaining higher revenues and improving live traded animal's welfare.
My PhD research was aimed at investigating Southern King crabs (Lithodes santolla) stress through its whole commercial trade chain (from the moment they are caught to the end consumed product), a sub-antarctic species from southern South America.
This PhD research was funded by the national council of science and technology (CONICET), as well as the National agency of scientific and technologic promotion (Agencia).
I am also interested in Conservation and the study of physiology using non-invasive methods.
