Panos Tziogkidis has been with Plymouth University since April 2013 and he holds a PhD in Economics from Cardiff Business School. Apart from his teaching and research within Plymouth Business School, he has collaborated with the US Department of Transportation as an expert adviser on issues of efficiency and productivity analysis. He has also been invited by the European Commission to present his recent work on the Global Innovation Index. Panos has practical experience from the banking sector, having worked as an investment analyst.
His research interests include both methodological aspects of efficiency and productivity analysis as well as empirical applications. His current research focuses on conditional multidirectional convergence in European banking. Panos has published in distinguished peer-reviewed journals including the European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Omega, Annals of Operations Research, Energy Economics and the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money.
