I am a 0.5 Lecturer in Art and Design and Design and Technology with the Institute of Education . I teach on both the B.Ed and PGCE study programmes and have qualifications and experience in a wide range of educational styles, along with a passion for the ‘bigger picture ‘ of education. I am also an Honorary University Fellow within the School of Medicine and Dentistry, contributing to the Art and Humanities programme ( Visual Art ) .

Joint Hons BSc Physiology and Psychology . PGCE- Primary and Lower Primary . MA in Education. Montessori Diploma , Steiner –Waldorf Early Years Certificate
Teaching interests
I have an interest in the broader curriculum and learning partnerships; in particular the relationship potential between learning partnerships and progressive education.I consider this an area for development,evaluating our perceptions of 'school'. I have a current research interest in the integration of 'movement' and 'drawing' in supporting literacy development.
Research interests
I intend (14-15) to work collaboratively with practitioners from Alternative schooling to develop a research project combining Steiner Waldorf & INPP (Institute of Neuro-Physiological Psychology) approaches to ‘Working with the Senses’ for children with SpLD. The particular emphases will be in the area of Drawing and Painting movement exercises.

I am a professional sculptor, exhibiting nationally and running workshops and courses locally.
