Computational social cognition; Self; Person Perception
My research interests focus primarily on self-biases in social-cognitive functioning (e.g., biases for self-relevant information).
I also have an active line of investigation exploring issues in person perception, notably the processes that underpin stereotype-based decision-making.
My work attempts to challenge conventional discipline-specific approaches by combining well-established methodologies from social cognition, cognitive psychology and the vision sciences to explore how the self (i.e., ownership, egocentrism) and stereotypical beliefs guides thinking and doing. In addition, I utilise specialised computational modelling techniques (e.g., Drift Diffusion Modelling) to explicate the psychological processes that underpin task performance.
