Lynda has over 15 years' experience in publishing, spanning marketing, editorial and digital teams. She was Head of Digital Research and Development at Palgrave Macmillan Publishers, where she oversaw the launch of the company's e-textbook programme, produced a suite of 'born digital' online learning resources and delivered the division's first apps.
Lynda has guest lectured at Oxford Brookes University, London South Bank University and the University of London. She has also spoken at industry events both nationally and internationally, including London Online. Lynda is Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Editorial Manager for University of Plymouth's Graphic Design research journal, Message, and a reviewer for industry journal, Interscript.
Lynda has a particular interest in commercial strategy and digital project design, and undertakes freelance publishing work alongside her teaching commitments. Since 2019 she has been commissioning books on autism for Jessica Kingsley publishers.
Lynda holds an MA Hons English (First class) from the University of St Andrews (2002).
Lynda lectures on the BA English with Publishing and MA Publishing courses. For MA Publishing she leads the knowledge exchange module MAPU718: The Project.
