Kevin N. PAGE, M.A. (Cantab.), Ph.D. (Lond.) 

Ph.D. in Geological Sciences, University College London (1988). Case studentship with British Geological Survey, thesis entitled: The Stratigraphy and Ammonites of the British Lower Callovian. Supervisors: Professor J. H. Callomon (UCL) and Dr Beris M. Cox (BGS).

BA in Geology, University of Cambridge (1984):  Class 1 Honours; converted to M.A. (1988). Honorary Scholar of Robinson College, Cambridge (1984).

 Specialist experience includes:
·           Jurassic stratigraphy and palaeontology including Mesozoic Ammonoidea: Including biostratigraphy, taxonomy and other aspects of geochronology, global correlation schemes and palaeobiogeography.
·           UK geology and geomorphology: Including regional geology, stratigraphy and geological and          geomorphological heritage.
·           Geodiversity and biodiversity: Principles and practice of natural diversity conservation - including survey, designation, management and environmental interpretation and education – with special emphasis on  aspects of geodiversity and geoconservation in a European context.

·           Palaeontographical Society research grant: Awarded to support research on Lower Callovian (Jurassic) Ammonoidea and commencement of Palaeontogarphical society monograph (2010).

·           Visiting lecturer grant, University of Warsaw, Poland: Awarded for presentation of short course on ‘Geology and geological heritage: new perspectives from the UK’ (April 2010).

·           Erasmus exchange programme: Established exchange agreement between the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Science of the University and Plymouth and the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Zaragoza in 2010. Two students from Zaragoza joined the fourth year course in Plymouth for 2010-2011. The programme also allows for the exchange of academic staff.

·           Royal Society Travel Grant: Awarded to support attendance at the 6th International Symposia on Jurassic Stratigraphy, Mondello, Sicilly (2002).

Geological presenter for the Dartmoor Film Project (Dartmoor National Park project to produce a feature film/documentary telling the story of Dartmoor (for use in interpretation centres, retail and distribution to schools throughout the County) (2008-2009).

Production of Parish Local Geodiversity Audits as part of a Devon County Council/ Aggregates Industries project to promote and target local community conservation activities (funded by the Aggregates Levyy Sustainability Fund; 2005-2006).
