Role

After a career in teaching modern foreign languages in the secondary and tertiary sectors, I moved into Library and Information Management.  My current role is Information Specialist for the School of Nursing and Midwifery, the School of Education and for Languages. As an information specialist, I liaise with the teaching and research staff in the schools to ensure the resources meet the needs of teaching and research. I offer subject based information literacy teaching to ensure staff and students are able to use the library resources effectively.   Further work in the Academic Support team involves working on projects such as the development of teaching resources for our online tutorials. I am also the administrator for the NHS Athens accounts at the university.
