Project Officer - (PGT) Student Recruitment & Marketing

Faculty of Business

Role

I have worked in the Faculty of Business since January 2014 holding a variety of roles. In May 2017 I was appointed to a new role as Project Officer - Postgraduate Taught Recruitment and Marketing.   Within this post I will be working with both the Student Recruitment and Admissions team within External Relations and International Office, alongside academic staff, to contribute to the development of strategic and operational activities related to both the recruitment and admission of students into postgraduate taught study.  This will include a review of current marketing activities and the student journey in order to identify and implement new initiatives that will help to increase student numbers.

Qualifications

BA (Hons) Fashion Promotion - PR, Marketing and Media; University of the Arts London

I worked and traveled the world for 8 years as an Officer for P&O Cruises managing the design, delivery, marketing and promotion of Youth Entertainment programmes on board cruise ships for up to 400 young people per cruise. Having enjoyed the marketing components of the above role I embarked on a marketing and promotion focused Degree at the University of the Arts in London.  On graduation I continued to work in the marketing, events and media sector initially for a London based events company prior to joining Ogilvy, a world leader in advertising, marketing and Public Relations.

I relocated to Plymouth where I commenced my roles at the University of Plymouth within the Faculty of Business. Having developed a knowledge and understanding of Faculty of Business activity I have been keen to take on a new role which combines this insight with my experience and skills in marketing and promotion.
