Academic Engagement (Library & Digital Support)


I am the Information Specialist for the School of Health Professions.  My role is to liaise with Academic staff within those Schools to ensure the students have the resources they require, and the skills necessary for their course.  I can help with staff and students:

  • Finding & evaluating quality sources of information
  • Keeping up to date professionally & academically using online tools
  • Referencing and EndNote
  • Online reading lists


    My degree is in English & history, and I have a postgraduate diploma in Library & Information Science.  My background is in Academic Librarianship and I have worked at Plymouth University as a Subject Librarian since 2002, and more recently as an Information Specialist within the ASTI team.

    Teaching interests

    I have an interest in Information Literacy, ensuring students have the skills they require to use our resources, in order to achieve the best degree they can.  My other particular interest is in encouraging the use of Aspire within the University.
