Employer Engagement and Education Specialist
A dynamic project manager with proven business acumen and a record of success delivering complex projects across a variety of Government and EU funding. Working proactively with business leaders regionally and nationally putting into place innovative solutions to bridge skills and knowledge gaps. With senior level experience in commercialising innovation, IP management and exploitation using knowledge and experience (particularly within the marine sector) to assist high growth business owners, directors and managers overcome barriers to their innovation.
I am a confident net worker, build effective professional relationships and am solutions focused. I have great empathy with the entrepreneurial culture drawing together academia and other technical experts to help businesses in the region to prosper and thrive.
Project managed National and European research and business development projects and programmes including the project management, co-ordinating recruitment, monitoring, reporting, marketing and communications activities as well as providing accountability to the European Commission (EC) for the successful completion of deliverables within the agreed time frames and various project budgets.
Presently working with the business community undertaking business skills gap analysis, identifying and putting into place solutions and connections along with internship collaboration opportunities. Working closely with academia within the University and college partnerships within the region with module development and delivery to grow the degree and higher level degree apprenticeship offer.

MSc Marine Renewable Energy
The first UK Masters degree in marine renewable energy which focused on the key emergent marine sectors: offshore wind, wave power and tidal power (both tidal barrages and tidal stream). - full cross-disciplinary modules included marine science, engineering, economics, law and policy.

Awarded Upper Second Classification. This course developed understanding of major economic, political, legal, business and cultural factors which affect the international business environment.
