Biography

Biography

IOANNA GIORGI received her PhD Degree in Computer Science at the University of Manchester, Manchester, U.K., in 2022. She holds an MSc and BSc (Hons) in Telecommunication Engineering.

Dr. Giorgi specialises in brain-inspired architectures to explore the role of human language in high-level cognitive modelling in robotics. She joined the University of Plymouth first through a Research Placement on natural-language-facilitated cognitive and robotic architectures, at the Centre for Robotics and Neural Systems (CRNS), in 2018 and, next, as a Research Fellow in Computational Intelligence (CI) and Robotics in 2021 in the EU Interreg 2 Seas Mers Zeeën “AGE Independently” (AGE’IN) Project.
