Role

Lecturer in Paramedic Practice on the BSc (Hons) Paramedic Practitioner.

Qualifications

IHCD qualified paramedic.  Completed BSc (Hons) Emergency Care at Plymouth University in 2010.  I have worked for the local Ambulance service trust since 2000 and have been qualified as a paramedic since 2003.  Until very recently I worked full time in practice as a paramedic and also as a practitioner in local Minor Injury Units.

I am currently studying on the PGCAP and hope to begin an MSc/PhD in due course.

Registered Paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Full member of the College of Paramedics

Teaching interests

I lecture on several of the modules included in the BSc Paramedic Practitioner.  Having come recently from practice my expertise lies in clinical skills, patient assessment and current treatment regimes available to paramedics.

I currently lead three modules in Cardiac Care, Pharmacology and Clinical Decision Making.
