Mr David Baldwin
Associate Professor (Education) and Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry

Mr David Baldwin was appointed as honorary consultant in paediatric dentistry and associate professor in education at University of Plymouth, Peninsula Dental School in 2021.
He worked at a NHS consultant paediatric dental surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust from 2014 to 2021. He is a graduate of the dental school at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and spent time working in maxillofacial, oral surgery and children's dental training posts prior to specialisation.
David undertook his specialist training in paediatric dentistry at The Royal London Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust between 2009 and 2014, whilst also completing a diploma in conscious sedation for dentistry at King's College London.
In relation to his desire to continually improve undergraduate and postgraduate education, David completed a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Education with the University of Plymouth in 2022.
David is registered on the Paediatric Dentistry Specialist List with the General Dental Council.
