Role

I started my career in nursing in 1998 after graduating from UWE, Bristol.  I worked as a surgical and intensive care nurse until 2005 before joining Plymouth University.  My current role is Lecturer in Adult Nursing and Lead for Clinical Skill and Simulation.  I am involved in the development of interprofessional education.   I continue to practice as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner.     

Qualifications

BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies, RGN, Post graduate qualifications in Care of the Critically Ill and Wound Management. MSc Health and Social Care Education. Masters Level post-graduate qualifications in Advanced Health Assessment. Undertaking Master Level study in Advanced Pathophysiology.

Professional membership

Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN), Emergency Care Association (ECA)  and British Association of Critical Care Nurses (BACCN).
