Prior to working at the University of Plymouth Cat was employed by Marriott International, Mitchells and Butler PLC and Compass Group. She specialised in the management of food and beverage operations, gaining extensive experience which she now utilises in order to support her teaching.

Cats teaching interests are around leadership and management. She has an interest in the Cruise Industry, and the challenges associated with managing teams that deliver customer services.
