Prior to working at the University of Plymouth Cat was employed by Marriott International, Mitchells and Butler PLC and Compass Group. She specialised in the management of food and beverage operations, gaining extensive experience which she now utilises in order to support her teaching.

Teaching interests

Cat currently teaches in the following areas:

  • Cruise and Maritime Operations
  • Cruise Operations and Passenger Services
  • Cruise Operations and Continuity Planning
  • Hospitality Operations
  • Food and Drink Management
  • Leadership

In addition to her teaching role, Cat is also a supervisor to a number of final year Honours Project students from Plymouth University, as well as our partner institutions in Hong Kong and Sri Lanka. She also delivers WSET Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications.
