Biography
Biography
Dr Otter has been working within the Rare and Imported Pathogens Laboratory of the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) at Porton Down (formerly Public Health England). During this time, he has been involved in a wide range of research focused around clinical pathogen diagnostics. More recently, with the emergence of SARS-CoV-2, his work has focused on the research and understanding of immunity to SARS-CoV-2 infection and vaccinations. In 2022, Dr Otter was promoted to Principal Investigator of the Emerging Pathogen Serology lab at UKHSA, with his work spanning emerging pathogen immunology, serosurveillance and novel diagnostic technology.
