Dr Adorkor Bruce-Konuah
Lecturer in Building Engineering
School of Art, Design and Architecture (Faculty of Arts and Humanities)
Adorkor is a Lecturer in Building Engineering in the Department of Architecture and Built Environment at the University of Plymouth. She completed her PhD at the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering at the University of Sheffield, UK, researching occupant window use behaviour due to physical environmental conditions.
Adorkor’s research focuses on the role of occupants in the performance of low energy building. Her research aims to ensure that low energy buildings are designed in such a way that occupants are able to control and maintain comfortable indoor environmental conditions.
2015: PhD, Energy Futures, Computational Mechanics and DesignGroup, Department of Civil and Structural Engineering, University of Sheffield
2008: MEng Civil Engineering with Business Management, Departmentof Civil and Structural Engineering, University of Sheffield
