School of Tourism and Hospitality invites Home and EU applications for a part-time ResM bursary starting in October 2017.
The competitive bursary is attached to any research project in food writing, travel writing or place branding or in the area of French or Spanish cultural studies, particularly when allied to tourism or heritage management.
The bursary covers a fee-waiver of £2000 from the total tuition fees over the 24 months.
About the programme
This is a part-time two-year research and practice programme based at the Plymouth city campus and you would be required to visit Plymouth 5 times per year for the two years. It is an excellent opportunity to progress your research training whilst remaining in employment.
We are looking for highly motivated candidates who have a good honours degree at a minimum of 2:1 or equivalent in a related subject. If English is not your first language, then an IELTS score of 6.5 is required.
Your application should comprise a 100-word project proposal and letters from 2 referees, e.g. an employer and your previous educational institute. We must also receive a completed application form, copies of relevant degree certificates and transcripts before we can consider your application.

The selection process will start as soon as applications are received. Interviews will form part of this process and are to be held in March 2017 in person or via web conference.
