Women in STEM conference 2017

In March 2017 the Faculty of Science and Engineering hosted the third annual Women in STEM conference.

Building on the success of previous years the conference brought together students, employers, teachers, postgraduate and early career researchers as well as experienced academics in order to share experience and discuss the future for women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) occupations.

A mixture of speakers and workshops aimed to inspire and provide practical knowledge for students and educators.

This was epitomised by keynote speaker and Senior Technical Architect to Vodaphone, Rubi Kaur, in her lecture 'Women in STEM: Today. Tomorrow. The Future. Our Society needs you!'.
