Practice as Research
Dates: 14, 15 and 16 March 2018
Location: Royal William Yard studios, and ARTSPACE 101 in RLB
The three-day conference welcomes proposals of 500 words from across all BA (Hons) Fine Art, BA (Hons) Fine Art and Art History students, AA2A artists, MA Contemporary Art Practice students, and PhD students in art and media, who wish to test their art practice, through presentations and workshops.
The conference seeks to uncover the experimental, and diverse nature of fine art practice at the University of Plymouth. It hopes to reveal, through a series of papers, workshops, seminars and discussion, how artistic methods, and a vibrant studio culture, expose new perspectives and original thought.
The conference will take place in ARTSPACE 101 in Roland Levinsky Building, The Lobby and The Project Space, and the seminar room on the ground of Mill’s bakery, the project space in the upper studios at the Royal William Yard.
