Simon Scriver

Head of Fundraising, One in Four, Ireland

"I am passionate about fundraising: we are the bridge between those who want to change the world and those who have the ability to do so.

"But our sector is certainly not running to its full potential. We are often held back by our own misconceptions, gaps in our knowledge, and our own lack of research.

"That’s why I joined Rogare. Collaboration on a global scale can only be a good thing. Challenging our own assumptions and asking difficult questions about fundraising isn’t easy. But the results and the practical ideas generated will have a huge, lasting impact on the work we do and the world around us."

Simon Scriver is Head of Fundraising at One In Four Ireland, a small charity that supports survivors of sexual abuse. He received Fundraising Ireland's 'Small Budget, Big Impact' award in 2016, previously winning Supplier of the Year, Eircom's Start-up Award and the Toastmasters Division International Speech Contest.

Simon also offers consultancy to some of the biggest and smallest charities in Ireland and abroad. He offers advice and training to non-profits to make their fundraising more cost-effective, speaking regularly at international conferences.

A member of Fundraising Ireland, the Institute of Fundraising, AFP and The Wheel, he blogs at ChangeFundraising.com and tweets obsessively from @ToastFundraiser.
