Leif started his first company, Fundraising as, in 1988. Prior to this, he was Head of Fundraising in the Norwegian Conservative Party (Høyre). 

Leif has a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics and Business Administration, and has kept one foot in the commercial sector working with start-ups and business development, and the other foot in the fundraising sector. 

His work with the Norwegian Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted (NABP) started as a part time sales job in 1984. In 1989 he started building a professional fundraising department for NABP, and introduced big scale tele-fundraising for the first time in Norway. Today NABP is on the top 10-list of fundraising organisations in Norway.

In 2014 he was awarded the first “Fundraiser of the year” in Norway. 

He is member of the board of directors in the Norwegian Fundraising Council, and is heading the council’s work with industry norm for fundraising. 

He was born in 1960, is married and has two daughters.
