Lianne Howard Dace

Interim head, Christian Aid Week

"Since my postgraduate studies I have become increasingly interested in fundraising research and especially parts of the profession, such as my personal passion community fundraising, which are currently under-researched.

"I’m excited to become involved in Rogare which I know shares this interest and to bring the fundraising and academic threads of my career together in this way.

"There are big challenges ahead for our sector but there is so much incredible talent. I hope that through the advisory panel I can play a part in helping fundraisers to access and apply the research they need to help navigate the waters and ultimately raise more their amazing causes."

Lianne is a fundraiser and writer with specialisms in community and events fundraising and innovation. Alongside her professional fundraising experience she graduated from London South Bank University’s MSc Management in Civil Society and self-published a paper based on her dissertation “Community Fundraising: problem child or rising star?”

Having cut her teeth as a hospice fundraiser, Lianne has worked in a number of roles in organisations of different sizes and cause types. She is currently Christian Aid Week Lead at international development charity Christian Aid, driving forward the development of this large community-based appeal.
