Cherian Koshy

Director of development, Des Moines Performing Arts

"Rogare is doing essential work in the field of fundraising that is unlike work conducted by any other group in the world.

"Areas of the profession that are underthought and underdeveloped leave practitioners with incomplete and incorrect guidance on important subjects. These areas of study have real consequences for fundraisers, charities, donors, governments, and communities. I joined Rogare to contribute to these conversations but Rogare’s work is not simply theoretical. There is a need to put boots on the ground and put these concepts into practice. I also joined Rogare to connect best practices to my ongoing commitments in local and national organizations."

Cherian Koshy is a certified fundraising executive with more than a decade of experience in a variety of nonprofits where he has successfully helped organisations connect thousands of donors to causes they care about and raising millions of dollars from foundations, governments, businesses, and individuals in the process. Cherian has been appointed by the governor to the state of Iowa’s Commission on Volunteer Service where he helps advance legislation to support volunteerism and engage Iowans in volunteer activity. He is a board member and volunteer for a number of organisations, and is also a regular presenter at conferences and workshops on fundraising.
