Adrian Salmon

Vice President, Grenzebach Glier and Associates

"I’ve always been of the view that we need practical and actionable research, to be the best we can be as fundraisers.

"The facts are always our friends. So when it was announced that Rogare was being started to fill this huge need for our sector, I immediately wanted to be involved. I hope my experience both ‘agency-side’ and ‘client-side’, and now as a consultant, will bring real value to the Advisory Panel as we tackle some of the most under-examined and under-researched areas of our amazing profession."

Adrian started his career in fundraising as a telephone fundraiser for The Phone Room in 1997, and went on to become the agency’s head of client services and business development, running telephone campaigns that raised several million pounds for the agency’s arts and wider charity sector clients. From The Phone Room, Adrian joined the University of Leeds in 2008, managing direct mail, online and telephone appeals to the university’s 200,000+ strong alumni community. In this role he quadrupled annual income and tripled donor numbers for the university’s Footsteps Fund, and implemented the first automated propensity modelling system to be used by a UK university. As Vice President with GG+A since April 2015, he consults with a wide range of clients across the voluntary sector to help them drive dramatic and sustainable improvements in fundraising performance.
