"I have spent my internship advertising placements, graduate roles and work experience opportunities to the Marketing students at the University. I created a biweekly newsletter filled with tips, advice and opportunities which has enabled students to find work experience and use the resources provided to gain the skills required to obtain employment. Through these newsletters, my copywriting skills have improved a great deal and I’ve been able to use analytics applications to test the success of each edition in order to improve future ones.
I have launched a Facebook page allowing all Marketing students to share interesting articles, relevant course information and start discussions. This page, along with the newsletter and Twitter account will hopefully continue to be used by future interns.
In addition, I have worked with other students from all years of the course to establish a Marketing Society through which I have organised events and attracted over 100 members from a variety of courses throughout the University.
Overall, the internship has helped me build upon the skills and expertise I acquired through my placement year and during my course. I have thoroughly enjoyed the internship and would recommend it to anybody looking to gain valuable experience that graduate employers will look favourably upon."
