Developmental Psychology

We investigate how language, cognition and social behaviour develop from infancy to adulthood. Much of our research is conducted in the Plymouth BabyLab and the Plymouth SchoolLab.

To study these phenomena, we employ a wide range of psychological methods, such as experiments, eye-tracking, ERP, questionnaires, interviews, and observations. Members of the Developmental Psychology Research Group collaborate with colleagues from Plymouth Institute of Education, the Faculty of Health and Human Sciences and the Plymouth Business School. We collaborate extensively with the local community and schools.

Members of the group include Caroline FlocciaMichaela Gummerum, Dave Rose, Allegra Cattani and Marina Wimmer.
