Learn more about planning evaluation and the following activities:

  • accredited teaching courses
  • teaching and learning conferences
  • peer review
  • scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL)
  • in house accreditation
  • teaching and learning mentoring.

You can also read about satisfaction/reaction questions and about different evaluation methods.

This page provides you with templates with which to develop your evaluation.  Begin by using the templates under ‘Planning evaluation’ to decide what to evaluate and what methods you might use to do this. You can then use the templates for different CPD activities to generate a holistic and longitudinal evaluation.

Evaluating peer review

For peer review we have not explicitly included students in the evaluation of these activities; however we strongly recommend student data area reviewed to shape the discussion.

Disseminate the findings and share the lessons learnt

Your evaluation findings can help to develop and strengthen courses, programmes, practices or policies. They may inform:

  • thinking
  • decisions
  • actions
  • recommendations and
  • the next evaluation.

For this to happen, you have to communicate the findings appropriately to the people who need to know about them. This means generating evaluation data in qualitative and quantitative formats to present to different audiences.
