PhD opportunities

It is possible to register your PhD with the University of Plymouth, but conduct it at your local university. This model of postgraduate study allows students to do their PhD on a part-time basis in conjunction with employment.

A member of the Plymouth-based team is also included within each supervision team, ensuring that each project is genuinely linked to activities taking place in Plymouth.

Members of the networks collaborate primarily online in a virtual network, but come together face-to-face in seminars and annual conferences to ensure that their connection is dynamic and real as well as virtual. For more information please visit the Doctoral College pages.
