Why did you choose Plymouth University?

I researched the masters at this University and found that it was very good for the course I am currently doing and is also accredited by CIPD, which was a bonus. I also studied my undergraduate degree with Plymouth University and again it was down to research and word of mouth that I decided to come and study with Plymouth.

What do you enjoy about studying at Plymouth University?

I enjoy the amount of depth the lecturers go into when talking about certain topics. There is also a good balance between the theory and how this is implemented practically in organisations. We have also had guest speakers who have taught us or given a presentation about a topic that we are doing and again this is brilliant because you learn how strategies are implemented in organisations and also gain insight into what works well and what doesn't.

The lecturers are friendly and always ready to help and provide extra time outside of scheduled teaching to help and answer any questions and I have found this key and have really appreciated it.

How do you find living in Plymouth?

I enjoy living in Plymouth not only is it by the sea but I think its a great city for studying away from many distractions found in other bigger cities. The campus is well situated in the centre of Plymouth and accommodation for students lies within and around the University, which makes shops, the library, gym and other facilities very easily accessible.

How is living in the UK different to living at home?

I didn't find it much different however it can be a bit of a culture shock more because of the language barrier, understanding accents, and also adapting to the laws of the country as they are taken very seriously.
