Commissioned by Universities UK and produced by ITN, ‘Universities: improving futures,’ explores the marked effect that higher education institutions have on the economic growth, prosperity and social mobility of UK, and underlines the importance and relevance of higher education, to both the individual and the economy.

The feature on the University of Plymouth shows how it is at the world forefront in tackling global challenges such as microplastic pollution and wave technology; through to addressing social and health inequalities on its door step in creating a national exemplar model of dental education for the 21st century.
