    • CORA101 Public Service and Society

      Within this module students will develop an awareness of the demands society places on the Public Sector and its limitations in regard to adequate provision.

    • CORA102 Land-based Adventurous Activities

      This module is designed to develop student's skills in land based outdoor education. This module will enable learning to recognise the central role of an outdoor or a residential activity as a training event for personnel drawn from both operational and support areas.

    • CORA106 Government Decision Making and Policy

    • CORA107 Organisations performance and change

    • CORC1013C Personal and Employability Skills Development

      This module is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to develop themselves in terms of their personal and employability skills.

    • CORD135 Research Skills

      This module is designed to develop the student's knowledge of the underpinning principles of research, experimental design and data analysis.

  • Core modules
    • CORA103 Water-Based Adventurous Activities

      This module will give students the opportunity to participate in a range of water-based activities and review the key factors affecting participation and performance. Students will have to plan, participant in and evaluate a water-based activity.

    • CORA108 Ethics Values and Accountability

    • CORA203 Human Behaviour In The Public Services

      This module will review the different factors that can contribute to an improved knowledge of human behaviour and the underlying theories behind these and how their application enhance the public services.

    • CORA205 Crime and It's Consequences

      The aim of this module is to give students the opportunity to examine human behaviour in relation to crime, to examine why people commit crime and to explore the needs of the victim in comparison to the strategies and policies available.

  • Core modules
    • CORA204 Team Building, Management in the Public Services

      This module will lead to the development of the theories that lead to successful team performance and leadership. Students will have to demonstrate respective knowledge and qualities required in leadership and management. Skills will be developed that will enhance students performance in public services scenarios.

    • CORA206 Managing emergency incidents

      This module is designed to develop the student's knowledge of the management of emergency incidents and the roles of different organisations

    • CORA207 Leadership and Advanced Skills In Outdoor Education

      This module is designed to develop student's understanding of the principles and the practical application of advanced skills in outdoor education. Emphasis will be placed on the development of advanced personal and leadership skills. This module will enable learners to recognise the value of outdoor and residential activities as training events for young people and public service personnel

    • CORD2000 Research Project

      This module allows students to select a topic for investigation, to undertake a review of the literature on the subject and a detailed original investigation.
