    • SOUD1417 Marketing Intelligence and Strategy

      This module introduces students to the basic principles of marketing and their application in a real live business context. It is intended to give a broad understanding of marketing considerations in managing and operating business organisation and the development of new strategies.

    • SOUD1418 Resources for Business Success

      An introduction to theory, practice and the application of the business environment, finance analysis and understanding of human resources will be explored within this module focussing on the inter-relationship between these internal and external environments. The module will also focus on how this will support business success.

    • SOUD1421 Creative Digital Skills

      This module is intended to equip students with the creative and technical skills necessary for developing and producing digital media artefacts. Students will investigate a range of software techniques and creative processes allowing them to produce a broad range of creative outcomes. Students will also be expected to enhance and refine their creative processes through use of efficient and current practices.

    • SOUD1422 Creative Copywriting

      This module is intended to equip learners with the creative skills necessary for developing and managing written content on digital platforms. Learners will investigate a range writing techniques and creative processes allowing them to produce a broad range of text based outcomes. Learners will also analyse and criticise written content in relation to audience segmentation and specific purposes

    • SOUD1419 Integrated Marketing Communications

      Exploring the role of effective internal and external marketing communications in reaching and engaging audiences to achieve sustainable relationships, this module outlines the key elements of the marketing communications mix and the importance of developing integrated activities.

    • SOUD1420 Digital Trends and Opportunities

      Investigating current trends and opportunities as a result of digital transformation and digital disruption in the business environment, this module will focus on the trends shaping the competitive market place.

    • SOUD2373 Evaluating Metrics

      Within this module, students will develop understanding of the various tools for evaluating marketing activity through metrics and other e-based tools. The module will introduce students to the relevant technology for making informed decisions and will challenge students to produce recommendations on future strategy used data to inform those decisions

    • SOUD2374 Digital Marketing Strategies

      An insight into how organisations embed digital activities in to wider marketing strategies; responding with agility to the changing business environment and justifying recommendations to achieve organisational aims and objectives.

  • Core modules
    • SOUD2375 Consultancy Project

      This module is aimed at developing the student's investigation, auditing and planning skills in the context of academic study and in the professional context. Students will work in groups to plan and deliver a consultancy project around a digital theme.

    • SOUD2376 The Digital Consumer

      The consumer of the future is very different to the consumer of the past. This module explores consumer behaviour concepts in the digital context and considers how consumers will continue to evolve, both online and offline. The impact on businesses and brands will be considered.

    • SOUD2377 Online Digital Skills

      This module is intended to equip students with the creative and technical skills necessary for developing and producing online marketing products. Drawing upon skills developed previously in stage 1, students will develop and produce an online marketing materials for a specific product. Online platforms such as the web and mobile devices will be investigated.

    • SOUD2378 Securing Online Content

      This module is intended to introduce learners to the ethical and legal debates surrounding messages on digital platforms. Issues such as: brand identity and reputation; content curation; user generated content; copyright (including intellectual) and legal responsibilities will be explored.
