Driving

Further information about driving and the BSc (Hons) Paramedic Practitioner course.

1. Whilst the ability to drive is not an absolute requirement for entry to the programme, students are expected to attend clinical placement in a variety of locations across the South West, including mainly unsocial hours. Public transport is not a viable option, and applicants are strongly advised to gain a full driving licence and will need a suitable means of transport. Students will often cover several thousand miles per year in order to attend placements.

2. Driving is not a component of the programme. However it is normally an employer’s requirement, and students must consider the need to achieve appropriate DVLA standards for driving when applying for graduate employment.
