Graham Dunne - graduate profile

Systems Analyst, Landmark Information Group

"I came to Plymouth as a mature student, worked very hard and achieved my aim of graduating with a first class honours degree. The course, the quality and the range of modules exceeded all my expectations.
After graduation I interviewed for several roles, successfully securing an offer for all of them!   I was lucky enough to spot a vacancy as a Systems Administrator for Goss Interactive - a web technologies company, based in Plymouth.  After two successful and very happy years with them, I made the move to join Landmark Information Group as a Second Line Systems Analyst, based at their Exeter offices.

My particular role consists of supporting and maintaining an infrastructure of public and internal web servers and associated infrastructure, combined with providing support for internal business and administrative systems. There is plenty of variety in both my role and the technologies with which I work day to day.

Landmark is a market leader in the provision of digital mapping, geographical information, environmental and financial risk data to name but a few and continues to develop and advance, so I feel I am in a very good place career-wise.

The content of the course at Plymouth served as an excellent foundation to the professional experience of working both with Goss Interactive and now with Landmark Information Group, for which I am really grateful."
