What is the BSC Business Management to you?
“It’s a brilliant gateway into graduate schemes and any sort of career. It’s quite a versatile degree and there are so many optional modules for you to choose, which you can also specialise in. I’ve found this flexibility means I can do anything I like and I do very much enjoy the course. It’s great as my course mates have a similar mind-set to me, and we push each other to achieve.”
What practical experiences have you gained whilst you have been studying at Plymouth University?
“I’ve been elected as the President of the Management Society from next year onwards. I’m going to be involved in planning trips, career development programmes and workshops.
I was also involved in the Tectona Business Challenge at the beginning of this year with some members of the Entrepreneur Society. It was great fun, I got to meet loads of different people and industry experts, who gave us lots of hints and tips.
I took part in the Universities Business Challenge, where my team and I had to simulate that we were on the board of directors for a large clothing company, and the team that generated the most profit won. It was all about learning the different complications you would come across, if you were on a real board of directors. My team and I managed to win the challenge which is a great achievement, and we secured a place in the regional competition.”
