Design tutorials, workshops with industry professionals, industry-led group projects, site visits and field trips will provide you with real-life knowledge of architecture, surveying, engineering consultants and construction practices within and outside the UK.
Teaching is delivered through lectures, group projects, IT tutorials, guest lectures, site visits and field trips in the UK and abroad. In addition to the traditional learning and teaching methods, such as lectures, you'll increasingly take responsibility for your own learning by undertaking industry-led projects and problem-solving assignments.
The courses and their assignments are designed to replicate the multidisciplinary and team working characteristics of the construction sector. You'll work in groups with architectural engineering, construction management, building surveying and quantity surveying students, where you'll lead the tasks most suitable for your own discipline.
You'll be assessed by coursework, design proposals, project work, site visit reports, examinations, and presentations.
You'll be taught by a professional team of research-active lecturing staff, who will help you on your journey to graduation and career success. You'll also get the advice and support by our panel of industry professionals.
