"The course appealed to me as I really wanted to specialise in a subject as well as gain the knowledge and skills required of a primary school teacher. Plymouth University looked like the best place to pursue my career and it was a good choice!

I've really enjoyed exploring the current issues in education and I have become more reflective about education and my own teaching practice. This is thanks to the lectures and seminars that are led by enthusiastic subject experts who make the course both interesting and relevant to us as trainee teachers. One of the most enjoyable elements of the course has been the placements, as they've really deepened my knowledge and experience within the teaching profession. We have a variety of placements in order to allow us to work in exemplary schools and to give us a range of experiences. The fact that Plymouth University offers a subject specialism means that we will really stand out when applying for jobs and have gained skills relevant to teaching the subject that we are passionate about.

The modern campus contains everything I need. Plymouth has given me the best student experience I could have asked for as it is a great place to live, with plenty happening and a variety of assets like Plymouth Hoe. My time here at Plymouth University has been really enjoyable and rewarding; I'm glad I came here!"
